THE LOVE HACKNEY AWARDS
In November 2024, we were thrilled to learn that many members of the community had nominated Cameron for the Love Hackney Awards. It was an honour to hear that his work with Bro Bro London had touched so many, and we were overjoyed when we found out he had been shortlisted.
In February 2025, Cameron attended the award ceremony—an evening filled with celebration, community, and recognition. The event shone a light on some of the incredible people making a difference across Hackney, and we felt truly inspired to be part of it.
Cameron was recognised not once, but twice—receiving both the Good Neighbour Award and the Young Hackney Award. These honours reflect not only his dedication to helping others, but also the values at the heart of Bro Bro London: compassion, community, and courage.
Following the ceremony, Cameron and the other award recipients were featured in the March 2025 edition of Love Hackney magazine—with Cameron proudly appearing on the front cover. It was a powerful moment for him and a meaningful one for our organisation, as it showed just how impactful a young person’s voice can be when supported by community.
We’re so proud of Cameron and grateful to everyone who nominated him, supported him, and continues to believe in the mission of Bro Bro London.
